Harvesting is easy because the worms eat their way up, leaving their rich castings behind which are readily removed, free of worms.

Liquid fertiliser is also produced and dispersed through a tap in the liquid collection tray.

Worm farms - turning organic waste into products that benefit the environment

Did you know that surveys suggest that every adult Australian produces 1 tonne of waste each year and that something like 50% of this is organic matter can be recycled.

About 30% is green organic waste, which is sent to landfill where it rots produces gases and poisons that pollute our living environment.

When compost worms are used in worm farms or in compost bins they increase the rate of organic waste decomposition by 20 times and we end up with the best possible soil food in the form of castings, liquid cast and of course more worms.
